I’m very pleased to announce that today we launched our rebranded ECE campaign, Every Child Is Worth It – Better funding for ECE.
The new name and design were unveiled at a media event at Hill Street Early Childhood Centre this morning and will support our ongoing campaign to end the ECE funding freeze, restore funding for 100% qualified teachers and make quality ECE an election issue in 2017.
ECE teachers have borne the brunt of the funding freeze and we’ve suffered in silence for long enough. Now is the time to use the momentum of our Better Funding Better Learning campaign to reach out to parents for support and remind them that learning doesn’t start at the age of five. Every Child is Worth It – and so are we!
You can print out these online resources to make posters or badges/stickers to raise awareness at your centre.
Check out our rebranded and refreshed website and Facebook group. If you’re on Twitter, look out for the #everychild and #betterfunding hashtags. And sometimes you’ll come across someone who doesn’t think we have a funding crisis in ECE or that quality ECE isn’t that important. Those people need to see our top 6 facts on ECE.
Imagine the potential for our kids if the government switched its focus to providing the best early childhood education in the world, not just the highest proportion of children enrolled. We can get our communities behind this important cause, because parents know Every Child Is Worth It.
